Hi! I’m Michelle.

I am currently pursuing a MSc in Biodiversity, Wildlife and Ecosystem Health at the University of Edinburgh, with particular research interests in participatory approaches to human-wildlife and land use conflicts, and illegal wildlife trade.

Prior to a career shift towards biodiversity and conservation, I worked as a qualified lawyer of England and Wales, specialising in international dispute resolution and human rights.

Fascinated by natural processes, such as how giant clams see using photoreceptors and how mangrove trees breathe with aerial roots, my photography and writing portfolio aims to showcase people, flora and fauna in interaction with their wider world.
